Activate the Gael Tunnel Site of Grace
This is the cool older brother of our last suggestion. Everyone likes him. If losing your Runes and your pride is too much to ask for, then you can carefully make your way to the Gael Tunnel Site of Grace and travel from there.
The Site of Grace can be located by walking down the hall and exploring or simply rushing until you come across a large door and a smaller door. Going through the smaller door will lead you to a Site of Grace and you can travel back from there.
In our opinion, it is bad game design to be able to teleport somewhere we have never been, only to find out we cannot fast-travel out of there and have to risk our precious Runes in an attempt to escape. Beggars cannot be choosers, we guess.
