Why Are You Unable to See Summon Signs?
There are Summon signs played throughout Elden Rings which can be interacted with to launch yourself into a multiplayer session. These can be friendly summons with friends, randoms, or hostile ones where you engage in PvP combat.
If you wish to play Elden Ring in multiplayer; whether it is to get help with a particular boss; to play with your friends; or to invade and loot other players, but are unable to, this guide is for you. More likely than not, it is one of these issues.
Furlcalling Finger Remedy
The Furlcalling Finger Remedy is the first thing you should check if you are unable to see Summon signs in Elden Ring.
The Furlcalling Finger Remedy is a consumable item for Elden Ring Multiplayer. It is a craftable item that one must use to be able to play with others online. You need this item to see the summon signs. The official description reads:
Item for online play.
(Can also be used from the Multiplayer menu.)
Craftable item.
Reveals cooperative and competitive multiplayer signs.
Co-op summoning signs will be shown in gold, while hostile summoning signs will be shown in red.
Multiplayer begins when you summon a player from another world through their sign.
This consumable item deactivates upon death and another one must be used to be able to play multiplayer. This is similar to the Ember in Dark Souls. The Finger Remedy is not uncommon and could potentially fix your problem.

No PlayStation Plus Subscription
This fix is for those gamers who are enjoying Elden Ring on their Sony Playstation console. Elden Ring is playable on both the Playstation 4 and 5. For online gaming and multiplayer, Sony has a subscription service that must be bought before players can play Elden Ring (and most online games) in multiplayer.
If you cannot see Summon signs in Elden Ring, check if you are subscribed to Playstation Plus or whether your subscription has expired.
Keep in mind that Elden Ring will launch in offline mode automatically if your account or an account on your system does not have Playstation Plus. Even if you connect to the Internet, you will still be in offline mode. It could be why Summon signs are not visible to you.
NAT Type
Moving on to the more technical side of things, if the fixes mentioned above have not worked for you, it might be an issue with your Internet’s NAT Type.
There are NAT types 1, 2, and 3. NAT type 1 provides full access to the Internet at the cost of your privacy and security. NAT type 2 offers moderate security while NAT type 3 is fully secure.
NAT type 2 is the most common for gaming. There is a chance that your Internet has a NAT type 3 connection which bars users from a lot of multiplayer gaming, especially on console systems like the Playstation 4 and 5.
You can easily check your NAT type by checking your connection status on the Playstation 4 and 5. If you are a PC user, the NAT type can be found in router settings.
To fix this issue and unlock multiplayer gaming in Elden Ring, simply contact your Internet Company and ask them to change your NAT type from type 3 to type 2. This should fix your problem and allow you to play Elden Ring in multiplayer. Summon signs should become visible after this!
