You are right to be skeptical, but Akechi makes it into our team just because of one word – Debilitate. Debilitate is by far the most powerful skill in the entire game. Truth be told, you only win at Persona 5 by beating single targets and the power of Debilitate lies in the fact that this skill can apply all stat reducing debuffs to a single target in one go! Additionally, Akechi is just a nicely rounded-up character who has decent numbers on all his stats. Blazing Hell is another powerful tool in her kitty to eliminate a group of enemies with a single shot.
But the “Fire Mage” is not only about Fire. She can be your team’s sly manipulator, befooling your enemies to their doom. Her Confidant powers are what really make her such a valuable pick in any best party Persona 5 list. “Sexy Technique” and “Crocodile Tears” can leave your enemies absolutely foxed.
She also has a powerful AOE spell to blunt down attacks of groups of enemies.
